Gordon Research Seminar and Conference 2025
Congratulations to Mary Tess, John, Leah, and Haiyan for presenting their work at the Gordon Research Seminar and Conference! Mary Tess presented her work on collaborative sensemaking, John presented his work on utilizing peer review to help students manage uncertainty, Leah presented her work on students' understanding of science practices, and Haiyan presented his work on how students reason about atomic absorption and emission!

Congratulations to Mary Tess for being elected as a co-chair for the Gordon Research Seminar in 2027!

ACS Meeting-in-Miniature 2025
Congratulations to Haiyan, Matt, Mary Tess, and Sophie for presenting their work at the 57th annual ACS DFW Meeting-in-Miniature!

Haiyan shared his work on student's understanding of atomic spectra, Sophie shared her work on studying student affect in group discourse, and Mary Tess shared her work on student's engagement with peer feedback.

We are excited to welcome a new graduate student into our group, Sophie Ntipouna! Sophie comes to us from Louisiana State University and will be investigating student affect in group discourse.
